About me

BcA., Bc. Tomáš Küfhaber, BA, dipl. um. (* 1979)

is a native of Brno. After graduating from elementary school he graduated from high school J. G. Mendel (culminating in the 1996 GCE). During the period of study at both schools he attended piano lessons by Eva Havlíčková. In 1996 he started to study at the Brno Conservatory, majoring in organ playing (by Zdenek Novacek, later by Petr Kolar). He graduated in 2000 and discharged in 2002.

In 2000 he applied for a job at the Dance Conservatory in Brno, which succeeded so - besides studying Conservatory - became a teacher at the sister school. On the Dance Conservatory in Brno, he worked as an accompanist, teacher of usual piano, and later as a teacher of informatics and IT administrator until 2006.

In 2006, took advantage of the new offer, he left the place of a teacher and completed a six-month stay on the liner Astoria. He was there a solo pianist and a member of a dance band PanBand. During this journey he traveled throughout Europe and got lots of gaming experience and skills. After returning from the ship he joined the Brno City Theatre as a member of the keyboard section.

During his following professional career he joined with BCT several international tours throughout Europe. As well as he repeatedly returned to playing at ocean liners as a solo musician and a band member. He also became a member of several music ensembles (Salon orchestra Brno, Kuf Band, etc.). During the practise of this work he had the opportunity to accompany a number of important solo singers, not only from the Czech Republic, but also from Europe and overseas. The position of keyboarder left in 2019.

From 2004 till now is Tomas working with a franchise system Yamaha HQ - as both director and teacher of several branches of the school around Brno.

Since 2012 till 2015, actively cooperated with DIFA JAMU, as well as with the Orlí Street Theatre, he had the opportunity to work as an accompanist and MD (Musical director) during musical performances (Footloose, Steel Pier, Blood Sisters, La Boheme, Zvonokosy, Light of Café Brel, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole).

In 2015 he concluded his study of economics and management at BIBS Brno and gained in this field not only Czech title Bc., but also his British alternative BA.

Since 2016 is a student of JAMU Brno (orchestra conducting); he finished this study in 2019 with state exam (he obtained title BcA.) and he continues his study on MgA. program.
